On November 27th 2020 Fuelcraft NSW Pty Ltd, trading as Liquip NSW, formalised a goodwill acquisition of DDC Diesel Pty Ltd and DDC Diesel Heavy Vehicle Spares business. This exciting and important change of ownership expands Liquip NSW service workshop capabilities into the dry bulk management speciality space and diesel mechanical repairs.
For those who may not be familiar with DDC Diesel, they formed the business repairing 2-stroke diesel engines over 40 years ago under the ownership of John Nichols and Bob Williams. In recent years the tradition continued within the family under guidance of Shane Nichols, and brother-in-law Glen Arthur, where the main operational focus has extended to servicing the dry bulk transfer market with state-of-the-art dry material transfer solutions.
It goes without saying, but we look forward to introducing DDC Diesel customers to the Fuelcraft philosophy of ‘Good ol' fashioned service' and continuing to provide them the same (if not improved) support and service they require. Importantly, to assist with a continuity of service and extend on our own expertise, many DDC Diesel employees will be merged into the Liquip NSW team in early 2021 as part of the acquisition.
And as part of a further announcement, the two teams will come together in a new purpose built facility at 13 Hume Road, Smithfield. The move to the new facility at Smithfield provides enormous potential for us to service this business segment.
With this new acquisition, Liquip NSW will be able to extend on it service to now include:
> Dry Bulk tanker spare parts and accessories
> Dry Bulk tanker repairs and service (including diesel mechanical tasks)
Our current service offering offer below will remain and increase in capacity:
> Road Tanker spare parts and accessories
> Road Tanker service
> Terminal applications for loading arm skids and overfill
> Fuel, LPG and Aviation new builds and reconstruction
> On-Site services and calibrations
> Self Bunded Tanks and Depot Loading Projects
> On-site painting facilities
> Steel and Aluminium Tanker repairs
> New Tanker Builds and Repower
> Pressure Welding
> Pump Skid Fabrications

Liquip NSW is very excited to explore opportunities with DDC Diesel customers and look forward to forging new relationships in a market that is very aligned to our existing core strength. More details on the acquisition completion date will be provided in early 2021.
